At Illyria Interior Oy, we are proud to have been involved in building the Star of the Seas, the next ship following the successful prototype we worked on earlier. The first ship was a completely new concept and we delivered that project smoothly with full professionalism. With the Star of the Seas, we had the advantage of stepping into the work with established experience, familiar structures, and a clear understanding of what the ship class requires. It allowed us to work with even better rhythm and confidence while maintaining the same high quality.
One of our main contributions on the Star of the Seas was the construction of Decks 3 and 4 in the Main Dining Area. This space is designed to be one of the ship’s central dining experiences, offering guests a large and welcoming environment with refined finishing. Thanks to our experience from the earlier vessel, the workflow was already well understood, and we were able to focus even more on craftsmanship, details, and delivering a result that feels polished and inviting. The Main Dining Area is a place we are genuinely proud to have helped bring to life.
We also had the opportunity to build the Kids Area, a bright and spacious zone of more than 2000 square meters designed for children and teenagers. With the solid foundation from the previous ship, planning and layout development were already familiar, making the work even more efficient this time. The Kids Area includes multiple themed zones for different age groups, from activity and play rooms to creative corners and relaxed spaces for older kids and teens. Our aim was to create a safe, fun, and inspiring environment where young guests can enjoy themselves and make great memories during their time on board.
